Freddie and George plan the trip to Pakuri Village
On Sunday January 7th. Freddie was taken to Pakuri Village on the Mahaica River. It was a 3 hous drive along the Demerara river on the Soesdyke Highway to the Linden Highway and continued to St. cuthbert's junction where we turned east to the Mahaica River through open savannah. It was a beautiful sunny day but the sandy road heavy with pools of water. On the journey we met a stranded driver who's truck got stuck in the road. We tried to pull him out but the vehicle had sunk deep into the sand. We continued to the village and arranged for the village tractor to rescur him.
